Not every connection is meant to become a love story. Sometimes, the story is simply two strangers being brave enough to show up.
When these two agreed to participate in a Stranger Session, they really didnโt know what they were walking into. They showed up, met someone completely new, stepped in front of my camera, laughed, talked, and gave the experience a genuine chance.
And in the end? There wasnโt a romantic spark.
But I donโt think that makes the session unsuccessful at all.
Because somewhere along the way, the pressure of โCould this be something?โ gave way to simply getting to know another human being. There were laughs. There was conversation. There were sweet moments, awkward moments, and moments that were completely real โ which is exactly what I want these sessions to capture.
We tend to think every meaningful encounter has to lead somewhere. A relationship. A romance. A forever.
But sometimes two people can cross paths for an hour, enjoy each otherโs company, walk away with a new perspective โ maybe even a new friend โ and that can be enough.
These photographs aren’t pretending to tell a love story that wasn’t there. They tell the story that was there: two people who were willing to take a chance, step outside their comfort zones, and share a little piece of life with someone they had never met before.
And I think thereโs something pretty wonderful about that.
Meet as strangers. Leave with a story.
Not every story ends in romance.
But every story is still worth telling. โค๏ธ
